How to choose a Brawl Pass Vault skin set

Understand Skin Keys, season sets and Chromas before spending a key on a Brawl Pass Vault reward.

By Brawl Cosmetics · Updated

What the key buys

Supercell describes a Skin Vault purchase as a season’s skin set together with its Chromas. The eligible pool starts with January 2024 Brawl Pass skins and excludes collaborations. The newly released season costs one key and previous seasons cost two. Check the in-game Vault for the actual set offered to your account.

This matters when using our catalog: separate artwork pages are useful for comparing variants, but they should not be added together as if every Chroma required another full set purchase. A page count is not a shopping bill.

A practical way to spend fewer keys on regrets

Pick the brawler you actually want to customize first. Then compare the original and every included Chroma at the same time. If you only like one recolor, judge the set on that recolor rather than on how many variants it contains.

For example, suppose you have two keys. Under the published pricing, that can cover one older set or the current one-key set with a key left over. That is a choice between specific designs, not evidence that one option is universally better value. Waiting for a design you like can be more useful than buying immediately just because the price is lower.

  1. Open the Vault group below and find the skin family you want.
  2. Check the set contents, eligible season and displayed key cost in the game.
  3. Compare the included Chromas before confirming. Use a wishlist if you are undecided.

Do not confuse a Vault listing with a future shop release

A skin can already have a Vault unlock without having an Oddities Shop offer. A later-release label on another route must not be interpreted as “nobody can own this yet.” The relevant question is which route is available now.

Brawl Pass collection membership alone is not enough to establish Vault eligibility: the date and collaboration exception matter. If a catalog record lacks that context, do not spend keys based only on the badge. The current in-game confirmation screen is the final check before purchasing.
